CDpoker sponsored player at the Caribbean Classic
CDPoker had a strong presence in the Caribbean Poker Classic in Jim Warth. Jim a CDpoker Tour winner and all round great tournament player looked like starting strong when in the first level of the main event held a full house. Unfortunately another player was looking at quads and took a chunk of Jim's stack, "Four 8's over took my boat in the first level of play mortally wounding me. I managed to stay afloat 6 more hours but never regained a sizable chip stack. I ended up going all in with a high pair against ace queen and an ace came on the river."
Jim did taste a victory, finishing in the money of one of the smaller events, "I was able to make the money it paid 18 I made 12th. It was a lot of fun and had my blood pumping. If not for 4 very bad beats in a row I definitely would have made it much farther"
Overall it was a successful tournament and CDpoker looks forward to sending more of our valued players to future events.
CDPoker Sponsors Vince Neil's "Off the Strip"
CDPoker is proud to have been a part of Vince Neil's "Off the Strip" Charity Texas Hold'Em Tournament. The fundraising event was held at The Joint, inside of Peter Morton's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas Friday, November 11th.
"These are the types of events that CDPoker is looking for," stated Mark, Poker Room Manager for CDPoker.com. "There was a very decent prize pool, it was a great event and we're delighted it's for a good cause. The combination lends itself to giving us exposure through various avenues."
150 players vied for a prize pool of more than $50,000.00 during this inaugural event hosted by Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe. Proceeds will benefit the T. J. Martell Foundation, a music industry organization dedicated to the innovative life saving research into the treatment of leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
This was definitely not a typical poker tournament, with autographed cds and other unique paraphernalia donated by the band and other celebrities was auctioned off with all proceeds going to towards the fundraising effort.
The event's success was largely thanks to the hard work from the team at Division Poker. They proved once again that they can put together an incredible showcase of poker and entertainment.
CDPoker donated CDPoker accounts to the event. The lucky Winners taking home a $1k, $500 and $250 account. Also congratulations go out to R. Weisman for collecting the $250 bounty account for knocking out our rep from the tournament.
The CDPoker representative, Shawn, showed off his skills and finished 12th out of 150, just two seats away from the exclusive Final Table.
